The title is a nod to the Spanish idiom with a double entendre: a cup is being filled in the literal sense but at the same time it suggests that someone has had enough… “Se le va llenando la copa a uno” (i.e. “I’ve had enough of your antics”) is a stern warning I often heard from my parents throughout my childhood. In this painted homage, I’ve turned one of their favorite parenting catchphrases on them—transforming it into a humorous commentary on marriage and family.
